BPAP A LOO LA
I have just come back from a two day residential at the National College for School Leadership, Nottingham, about the Black Pupil's Achievement Programme. The course was excellent and extremely wll facilitated by a dynamic and knowledgeable team who were very focused on raising achievement and challenging everyone there to tackle their school's and their own 'Leadership Challenges'. The sad thing is that the same issues have been raised for at least the last 30 years, with leaders such as Bernard Coard calling for teachers, parents and politicians to 'Tell it like it is' back in 1976. Hopefully this programme will help kickstart a few more successful interventions like the one's that were highlighted from phase one of the project. The fantastic work being done at Copland School should be shown up and down the country.
