PREPARING FOR BHM #2
Every year I try to have a cultural musical event but this time I have been offered something slightly different that should be absolutely fantastic. The good people at the Museum of London are running a series of drama workshops and performances called London Calling, and they have offered it to schools for free, which is amazing. The performance is based around a number of historical characters such as Olaudah Equiano and Robert Wedderburn who tell the story of London's Black and Asian presence over many centuries. Every student in the school will get to see the performance and classes from both KS3 and KS4 will participate in the workshops with support from the Drama department.

Olaudah Equiano's biography is fascinating. I just learned about him a few years ago.
