BLOGS IN THE BLOG #2 AND NOW THERE'S THE WIKI

As I woke this morning to the glorious Canadian sunshine (Ilove half term!) thoughts turned to the latest developments for bh4schools. Don't ask me why, they just did. It's strange what you do when you are on holiday. I have been working with my year 8 students this past few weeks on a unit of work about the Transatlantic Slave Trade and part of the project has been to record their observations on the comptonblog (from my other website comptonhistory.com). The responses have varied in detail and complexity, but as a first experiment with 12 year olds I think it has been a success. The question is what do you think?

The next stage of the project, about resistance and abolition of the Slave Trade will include students making postings to the comptonwiki but if you want to get in there first, be my guest. All you need to do is to register by going to 'create an account' in the top right hand corner, click on the page you want to edit and hit the edit tab. The rest, as they say, is history.
